Course Descriptions


Course Schedule


Students may enter the program at any time and follow their prescribed program of study.

Program lengths vary depending upon the type of certificate.


Students must accumulate 10 units of online or on-campus Bible classes according to the following requirments:

  • 4 units from Old Testament classes

  • 4 units from New Testament classes

  • 2 units from How to Study the Bible (either "Accurately Observing the Text" or "Correctly Interpreting the Text")

Additionally, students must accumulate 7 units of online or on-campus Theology and Elective classes according to the following requirements:

  • 5 units from Theology classes

  • 2 units form Elective classes

Additionally, students must accumulate 9 units by taking the following classes: 

  • 1 units from How to Study the Bible (the complement class to the prior class taken above)

  • 1 unit from Principles of Teaching 

  • 1 unit from An Introduction to Preaching 

  • 1 unit from Care and Counseling

  • 1 unit from Personal Spiritual Growth and Gifting

  • 1 unit from Planning & Programming Ministry

  • 1 unit from Building & Leading Ministry Teams

  • 2 units from Ministry Practicum


Total units: 26

Length to complete: approximately 22 months





(Note: Pastoral Studies certificate students must have or be pursuing a bachelor’s degree and/or demonstrate through life experiences, character, and maturity their qualifications for future full-time ministry that is consistent with 1 Timothy 3 and Titus 1.)
